Note: The safety lever’s embossed upper edge is shaped to fit the traditional “com-bloc” dustcover angle profile; it does not match the unique angle profile of Chinese dustcovers.
AKM version does not fit “Yugo” AKs – You MUST select YUGO version from the drop down menu.

    AK Master Mount Safety Lever

    This accessory is obviously well made from quality materials. Due to the receiver wall thickness on my K-USA103, about 5 minutes of handfitting was required. Now works as advertised and should really be included with all new rifles.

    Great fit & finish, but I did have to spend about 5 minutes fitting the lever (to account for receiver wall thickness). This safety lever makes living with an AK very enjoyable (this is a mandatory upgrade, unless you have fingers like E.T.’s).
    Again, lightning-fast shipping from the AKOU store.

    This is much better than the stock safety lever! Very comfortable to use and the bolt hold notch is a nice touch! Will be getting more!

    Great lever, but…

    I gave it 5 stars b/c it does what it says, installs easily and is quality, but… I really wish that when I’m ready to let it back down that I wouldn’t need two hands to hold the bolt back and then let the lever down. It would be nice to just push down and let the bolt slam forward. That’s what I envisioned, but might have to shave off a little metal myself. From research I’ve done it seems this is a “Gen 1” lever and they’ve fixed this issue on their newer levers. Gonna give em a call and see if they work with me. I’m still happy with it, just wish it has this feature

    First of all, my item arrived quickly, and exactly as advertised. It functions as expected and appears well built. For me this safety lever holds the bolt open and “locks” it open until you use both hands to release it. I have a Krebs safety selector, you can use one hand to send the bolt home with that one. Also, the AK Master Mount selector seems to be made of a slightly softer metal than the Krebs, or original Zastava selector I own. This makes it easier to adjust. The AK Master Mount selector has a profile closer to the receiver than the Krebs selector, though the Krebs device is a little more ergonomically pleasing. I like both for their unique benefits. It comes down to user preference but this and the Krebs selectors are excellent in my opinion.
