This is a side rail that is easily retrofitted to most milled or stamped AK styled receivers without the need to drill and rivet, or utilize a gunsmith. It attaches to the existing hammer and trigger holes by using the proprietary mounting pins. This is a low profile, reversible modification that allows the use of the many commercially available side rail optic mounts.
The rail can be placed in minutes and can later be removed if desired as no permanent modifications are done to the receiver. The side rail is rock solid and parallel to the barrel. The bonus of this design is that the internal shepherds crook retaining wire is no longer needed to secure the hammer and trigger assemblies.
This “no-mod” side rail is the perfect accessory for “early” AKs such as the MAK 90 and other Chinese models; Arsenal TM SA 93 and SLR 95. It also fits Century TM C39; Yugoslavian PAPs; AMD-63; Egyptian Maadi, M85, home builds and all milled and stamped AKs that utilize standard hammer and trigger axis pins.
This side rail version is made of steel and is coated with Black-TTM to provide superior rust and corrosion resistance. The mounting pins are heat treated, hardened steel, also finished in black.
It now has the centralized recessed area on the dovetail rail so that it will accommodate SVD styled locking optic mounts, as well as the standard AK styled clamping optic mounts.
They are MADE IN THE USA! It comes in a kit that includes the rail and mounting pins, allen wrench, and an instruction sheet.

AK Master mount for my Romanian Draco!
Installation was easy and master mount looks and feels great on my Century Arms Romanian made Draco (full size) ! I used some loctite blue for extra securement. Very happy with this purchase. A must have for AK owners with stamped receivers without pic rail systems. Thanks Rob Ski!

Perfect fit on the MAK-90, solid, 15 minute install. Used a brass punch (didn’t really need), nylon hammer, needle nose pliers and blue Loctite. MAK90 has a spring-like pin retention part which you need to remove.

Used on a Arsenal SLR-95 I recently picked up. I realized it doesn’t have a side rail like my other ak’s. I attached this with a master mount rail and primary arms scope. Sighted in and shot 200 rounds no issues. I then tried to man handle it and it did not budge.
Tip for others: You can use red locktite on at least the hammer pin screw. You can tighten the screws too much and cause bolt carrier friction due to receiver being tighter(Even on a milled ak). Tighten the screws just enough to be tight and side rail not move, but not so tight that it effects the bolt carrier riding the rails. The red locktite will give you solid lockup without having to overtighten the screws on the end. I’m no expert but it worked for me. Hang ak upside make sure bolt carrier slides down freely after install.
